Oakland A’s Players fund raiser for Diabetes reasearch and treatment
This one disease are very easy to be suffered by every people, rich poor, children adult, man woman. Diabetes, is a potentially deadly disease growing so rapidly it is considered an epidemic in the United States.Diabetes is a group of metabolic disease in which a person has high blood sugar, either because the body does not produce enough insulin, or because cells do not respond to the insulin that is produced.
There re three main types of diabetes, it is type 1 diabetes, its presently requires the person to inject insulin. Type 2 diabetes, a condition in which cells fail to use insulin properly and sometimes combined with an absolute insulin deficiency. The last is Gestational diabetes, it for pregnant woman, who have never had diabetes before, have a high blood glucose level during pregnancy.
In Alameda county has 7.8% of people who suffering from diabetes. That is why several Oakland A’s players make a fund raising for diabetes research ad treatment during the team’s Root Beer Float Day.
This annual event has raised more than $300,000 in the past eight years for the juvenile diabetes research foundation. And on Thursday afternoon the players has raising $29,000.
The Oakland A’s hometown has reported the highest number of diabetes-related deaths in Alameda County. The number of death countywide was 917.
Doctors are diagnosing a startling number of children and adolescents because of rise in juvenile obesity.Age and weight gain often trigger diabetes. Diabetes can come from a genetic factor when the disease has runs in the family, a diet high in salt and sugar and fat is another factor, and education is also a key factor.
